Is It Time to Upgrade Your Electrical Service?
An upgrade may be worth evaluating if:
- You're adding an EV charger, heat pump, generator, battery, or major appliance
- You're planning an addition, finished basement, or major remodel
- Your panel is original to an older home, or parts are hard to find
- Breakers trip frequently under normal use
- Your insurer or a home inspector has flagged the panel
These signs don't always mean you need a new service. A load calculation tells you what your home actually needs.

How long does a service upgrade take?
Installation typically [verify: takes one day / one to two days, but the overall timeline depends on permit approval and utility scheduling for the disconnect and reconnect. We'll give you a realistic timeline in your scope.
Will my power be off during the upgrade?
Yes, for part of the installation day. We schedule the outage with you in advance and keep it as short as possible.
Do I need a service upgrade to add an EV charger or generator?
Not always. A load calculation shows whether your existing service can handle the new equipment; in some cases, a load-management device can replace an upgrade.
Do you handle small repairs like outlets and light fixtures?
Our residential work focuses on service upgrades, backup power, EV charging, and energy systems. For smaller repairs, we're happy to discuss options.
Do you work with builders and remodelers?
Yes, for custom homes and major renovations involving service, distribution, and energy systems.
